In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I had the opportunity to see Tito Puente when I was young. His band was on fire that night, playing a rare performance in Mesa, Arizona. I became his marionnette, never having felt so good. I knew then what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ben LaMar Gay, Open Arms to Open Us Bobby Bradford, John Carter, John Carter - Bobby Bradford Quartet: Seeking (feat. Tom Williamson & Bruz Freeman) Isotope 217, The Unstable Molecule Isotope was the first truly hybrid band i'd heard incorporating dub techniques, jazz, rock and experimentation. Open Arms, another hybrid album, displays a folk essence while also being undeniably 'Chicago'. Seeking is simply free jazz at it's best.

Tell us why you chose this song. “DESTEJER” I love this song that Ibelisse wrote because of it represents both of us, and sums up the essence of our album, MESTIZX. There is a bit of everything that we stand for integrated into this track-- our journey in being authentic and vulnerable.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The communal coming-together in the making of MESTIZX was probably the most memorable moment. Relationships and experiences i'd sowed over my career came together to foster a very personal document-- the closest to me I'd ever dared to co-create.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I hope to play more often in Latin America and the Caribbean in the coming years! To share music with the territories that most inspire and feed my soul.
