In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My grandfather, who played trumpet in a band with his brothers, helped me practice saxophone and taught me chords on piano. He would hum the melody to standards and I would accompany him. We did this most days after school, until I went to college.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Charlie Parker, Charlie Parker With Strings: Complete Master Takes D'Angelo, Voodoo Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill These 3 albums pretty much sum up my musical style. As much as I was trying to play saxophone like Bird, I was listening to both Lauryn Hill and D'Angelo constantly.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My music video for my original song "Trying" (released under MikeMRF) surpassed 1 million views on YouTube.
