In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I’ve always loved creativity and the arts, however, I remember standing in a church one afternoon and feeling like my voice unlocked. I grew up singing in school and such but in that moment, it was as if my purpose as a singer finally unlocked.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Black Girls Deserve Good Love Too” This song is a declaration/affirmation to myself and those that look like me. Unfortunately, black women are seen as too strong, aggressive, and needing to fend for themselves at times. However, I think we deserve a love that’s kind and tender too.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being nominated and then winning the Nando’s New Emerging Artist of the Year at the Basadi in Music Awards 2023 has been the sweetest memory so far.
