An ironic Seattle-based pop-punk band whose members take their stage names from stars of the past, such as guitarists Daniel J. Travanti and Steve E. Nix, the 1970s-punk-inspired Briefs made their full-length debut with 2000's HIT AFTER HIT. Alongside their albums, including 2003's OFF THE CHARTS and 2005's STEAL YER HEART, the Briefs also released the 2004 compilation SINGLES ONLY. The Briefs announced an indefinite hiatus in 2007, after which Travanti and Nix formed the bands Modern Action and Steve E. Nix & the Cute Lepers, respectively.
