Tony Kakkar is an Indian vocalist and Bollywood music composer known for creating upbeat, catchy pop hits.
∙ Kakkar started writing songs at age six, when he performed with his sisters—future playback singing stars Neha and Sonu Kakkar—at religious musical gatherings in Delhi.
∙ In 2012, he debuted as a music director for the comedy Mr. Bhatti on Chutti and released his first track as a singer, “SRK Anthem,” featuring his sister Neha.
∙ He broke into Bollywood with his composition “Sawan Aaya Hai,” sung by playback star Arijit Singh in the 2014 monster movie Creature 3D.
∙ His popularity as a singer soared in 2015, when he released his first Punjabi song, “Akhiyan,” featuring Neha Kakkar and Pakistani American rapper Bohemia.
∙ “Coca Cola,” his party tune from the popular rom-com Luka Chuppi, and his love song “Dheeme Dheeme” earned him two Mirchi Music Award nominations in 2019.
∙ In 2019, the playfully suggestive video for his “Kanta Bai,” featuring actress/model Karishma Sharma, garnered almost four million views in its first day online.
