French artist Willy William has built a hit-making career in dance music as a producer, remixer, group member (Collectif Métissé), solo artist, and chart-topping collaborator.
∙ In the early 2010s, he was a collaborator-vocalist on multiple French hits, including Ridsa’s “Es Tu Fiesta,” DJ Assad’s “Li Tourner,” and Cris Cab’s cover of Sting’s “Englishman in New York.”
∙ “Ego,” his 2015 breakout solo single, became an international hit that landed in the Top 20 in France, Italy, Belgium, Hungary, and the Netherlands.
∙ The music video for “Mi Gente”—his 2017 multi-Platinum global hit collaboration with Colombian singer J Balvin—won MTV Best Latin Video honors.
∙ William was featured alongside Nicki Minaj on the Jason Derulo-David Guetta hit “Goodbye,” from Guetta’s 2018 LP, 7.
