Simi grew up singing in her church's choir in the Lagos suburb Ojuelegba, releasing her first album, a gospel collection called Ogaju, in 2008. Following this she has explored a pop, R&B and soul sound, defining her style with the hits “E No Go Funny” and “Jamb Question” in 2014. As well as being a talented singer/songwriter, Simi has explored mixing and mastering her own music, producing songs that are honest and straight from the heart. With magnetic, sunshine-filled hits like “Smile For Me” and “Joromi”, it's no surprise that she holds sway over the Afro-soul scene.
