Seen Root's singer, Shin Hyun-hee, turned to music while studying fashion design, teaching herself guitar by watching online tutorials. In 2013, bassist and jazz major Kim Root went to her gig, asked her to form a band, and Seen Root were born. Debut single “Cap Song” followed, and then a clip of a DJ singing along to the infectious “Sweet Heart” went viral in 2016. With their bright, open tunes, quirky—yet fashionable—style, and infectious attitudes, it's no surprise that they gained a cult following.
