Formed in 2000 by Prinya "Way" Intachai, Khanngoen "Khan" Nuanual, and Nay Myo "Day" Thant, Thaitanium mostly rejected Southeast Asia's glossy pop-idol scene for the gritty verbiage and hard beats of American hip-hop. Over productions that incorporate the heavy hooks of crunk and the full-on blast of EDM, Thaitanium flip seamlessly between the almost poetic cadences of the Thai language and the rat-a-tat flow of American rappers. Their lyrics have covered Thai democracy, national pride, and the dark side of fame; mostly, though, Thaitanium would rather party than provoke.
