In the beginning, Spiritualized mastermind Jason Pierce drew inspiration from many of the same psychedelic, krautrock, and garage-rock sources he'd explored in his previous band Spacemen 3. But as time went on, Spiritualized began to incorporate everything from gospel and blues to classic '60s pop and early rock 'n' roll, all without losing the psychedelic edge that's always defined Pierce's work.
