I always painted my dreams

on the canvas i call my brain

Eyes wide like mona lisa

So clear what i was chasing

But it seemed like right when i hit

my 20s it couldn't get

much harder to invision

the dream that kid had in him

Oh, if you could have shown me

this a few years ago

then maybe I’d think twice

If i had a book on my life

And i could go back in time

Read it again, I’d grab a pen (and)

Probably change a few lines

(cause) Im few chapters in

and this is not exactly how i

would imagined it

when i was a kid and said my prayers at

night

but i guess that’s just how it goes

Get lost in dreams then they blow

while you’re left in dust with what to show?

I've heard it said that in life,

Just have to learn to survive

But the biggest plot twist in mine

Is that i’m trying way too hard at

I always ask myself now

If younger me would be proud

of all that i’ve accomplished

If he was being honest

I move one step forward take 2 steps back

I've been keeping score

But i never seem to be winning

Maybe that's all part

Of finding who you are

And maybe it's alright

To not have it figured out yet
