Following 2020’s CTV3: Cool Tape Vol. 3, Jaden offers up the Day Tripper’s Edition, which functions as a continuation of its predecessor but is still a unique album in its own right. There’s remixes of a handful of tracks from the original—“Rainbow Bap” now includes rapper ¿Téo?; “LUCY!” gets a few production upgrades; “Endless Summer” adds Joey Bada$$. But mostly, the new version further builds out the vision of the original, juxtaposing mellow angst with nostalgic, sunny pop for some of the actor-rapper-singer’s most refined work.
