On the appropriately titled Punjab Flow, versatile vocalist Gulab Sidhu—alongside the team of lyricist Fateh Shergill and composer Diamond—showcases multiple sides of his musicality. The five folk-flavoured tracks can be classified into those that highlight the robust-voiced star’s skills as a soulful singer, and those that display his chops as a razor-sharp rapper. His vocals shine on romantic pop confection “Sheesha” and the passionate bhangra ballad that pays homage to his home state, “Wattan”. On the other hand, he breathlessly spits out bars on funky foot-tapper “Muqaddar”.
