Michael Monroe
Outerstellar
Album · Punk · 2026 · Silver Lining Music
With his follow-up to 2022’s I Live Too Fast to Die Young!, former Hanoi Rocks vocalist Michael Monroe revels in the high-energy rock ’n’ roll he’s built his career on. Equal parts New York Dolls swagger, punk attitude, and retro-glam style, the jams he kicks out on Outerstellar sound like the work of a 23-year-old American (or British) upstart, not a 63-year-old Finnish veteran. On “Rockin’ Horse,” “Shinola,” and “Disconnected,” Monroe and his band—former Hanoi bassist Sami Yaffa, ex-Dolls guitarist Steve Conte, former Steel Prophet drummer Karl Rockfist, and ex-Black Halos guitarist Rich Jones—embody the kind of youthful abandon that transcends age.
