In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I remember getting a ukulele when I was seven. I was immediately taken with it and spent hours learning every chord I could.
I played it all the time, carrying it around strumming and singing. It became a part of my identity.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Chicago, The Chicago Transit Authority (Remastered)
Stevie Wonder, Songs in the Key of Life
The Beatles, Abbey Road (Remastered)
These are three of the most formative albums of my life.
Each contains a rich and distinct musical vocabulary, influencing everything I have written over the years.
Transformative music that has changed my life and the kind of artist I want to be. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Cover of Snow”
I wrote this in one day for a contest.
The topic was snow.
I'm proud of the lyrics as they paint a very vivid portrait of the end of a relationship using the imagery of snow and winter.
The simple, stark music fits the theme and mood perfectly. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
The release show for my last album was very memorable for me.
After years of struggling to finish that record and realize that musical vision, everything came together in that show.
And I celebrated it with all my fans, family and friends. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I would like release an album that is completely self-produced from start to finish.
I would also like to collaborate with my band to produce an old-school progressive rock masterpiece.
Love to do more collaborations with other artists in general.
