Bobby Waters, known as Bobby Bass, is a member of a cappella groups the Bass Gang, the Wellermen, and Pitch Slapped, and he also releases other recordings. The vocalist and arranger developed a large TikTok following in 2020 with bass-heavy versions of sea shanties and contemporary pop songs. The next year, he progressed from video clips to commercially released recordings, starting with his and guitarist Mark Tully's cover of Disturbed's "Crucified." In 2022, Waters participated in a TikTok chain of all-bass duets covering "Hoist the Colours" (from Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End), which developed into a single released in early 2023. In 2024, he and fellow vocalist Vinny Marchi teamed to write and record their original song "I See Fire." ~ Andy Kellman
