This eclectic German techno outfit draw inspiration for their distinctive, down-tempo productions from unexpected sources. Since their inception in 2001, Boozoo Bajou have taken the ragged instrumental textures of American blues, Cajun music, and dub reggae as the raw materials from which they forge their blissed-out soundscapes. The pair have a fondness for releasing album-length meditations on particular genres; 2001’s SATTA! presented the duo’s take on reggae, 2005’s DUST MY BROOM explored the sounds of electrified country blues, while 2009’s GRAINS was largely inspired by the Laurel Canyon folk scene of the late ‘60s.
