In the early 1960s he was Ko-Ko in a London revival of The Mikado (1962) before appearing at as Fagin in the Broadway production of Oliver! (1963), for which he again was nominated unsuccessfully for a Tony award. Also on Broadway he played the title role in Sherry! (1967), a musical version of The Man Who Came to Dinner, and a box-office failure. Revill has also appeared in UK performances of W.S.
