Captivated by sports, astronomy, and popular music, Francisco Gabilondo Soler debuted professionally on October 15, 1934, after singing in a popular radio show and introducing himself as Cri-Cri. Children's folk music became his passion. On July 30, 1961, his radio show, El Grillito Cantor, was broadcast for the last time. Nevertheless, his music and funny children-oriented stories based on his personal experiences when he was a child have been featured for decades on top-selling records.
