Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest memories is from growing up in Tembisa, I was just a kid, hearing deep house and kwaito blasting through the streets, the bass would rattle the windows, and everyone was moving old, young, didn’t matter. That energy stuck with me!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Black Coffee, Pieces of Me Culoe De Song, Elevation Msaki, Platinumb Heart Beating These albums are more than just music to me, they’re stories, emotions, and lessons disguised as sound. They represent the kind of balance I always chase in my own work: something spiritual yet grounded, global yet deeply personal.

Rooted in our sound but reaching forward. The drums feel like the heartbeat of the township after the rain, it’s about cleansing, renewal, and rhythm that never stops.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Definitely hearing one of my songs played at a gig back home in Tembisa, and watching people react to it without knowing it was mine. That was the moment I realised the sound had left my room and belonged to the world.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to take the sound of Tembisa global, to show that African electronic music has endless layers and soul. I still dream of performing at places like Boiler Room or Kunye, but doing it while staying true to where I’m from.
