London-based pop band Deco wear their '80s synth pop influence on their sleeve, complete with pitch-perfect vocals, jangly guitar, and upbeat saxophone. Originally formed as a duo in 2011, they spent the best part of a decade writing music together and playing low-key shows before releasing an EP, 2020’s Real Life. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they remotely performed mashups of popular songs with tracks from the '80s, uploading them online. They became a viral sensation with these renditions. After the lockdowns ended, they reemerged with an EP of original material, 2023’s Nice Car, which led to their debut album, 2024’s Destination: I Don't Know. ~ Liam Martin
