Sly, gruff, and animated rapper E.K.E. is the first West Coast signee to the Atlanta-based Quality Control label. The Riverside, California native threw himself into music after he was expelled from high school during his sophomore year. He soon made his commercial debut with the 2019 "Goin Dumb!," featuring Gucci G. After he had over two-dozen tracks to his name -- as both a lead and featured artist -- E.K.E. broke through in 2024 when he joined Tru Carr on "Ghetto." The hard-hitting collaboration went viral and led to a deal with the high-profile Quality Control. E.K.E.'s first effort for QC saw him link with Sexyy Red for the lean and brash single "304," issued in May 2025.
