Exploring the psychedelic prog sounds of the '70s, Electric Würms is a side project of the Flaming Lips' Steven Drozd and Wayne Coyne. Formed by the pair after years of conversations about wanting to do something jammier and more far-out, the duo recruited Charlee and Chance Cook, Will Hicks, and Dom Marcoaldi, better known as the Nashville, Tennessee band Linear Downfall, to round out the lineup. Unlike their main project, Drozd would front Electric Würms while Coyne would play more of a supporting role in the band. The project made its debut in 2014 with Musik, die Schwer zu Twerk, which featured a cover of the classic Yes song "Heart of the Sunrise." ~ Gregory Heaney
