Singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist HARIZ is known for his emotive brand of electronic-tinged pop and R&B. He broke through with his 2017 song "OVRBRD."
Born in 1997, Justin Hariz grew up in Los Angeles listening to an eclectic mix of music. At age four, he began taking piano lessons and by middle school he was already writing his own songs. During high school, he started playing open-mike nights and other events, working to develop his sound. In 2016 he won the ASCAP Harold Adamson Lyric Award in Pop Music. Buoyed by the recognition, he began posting online under his last name. In 2017, he released the track "OVRBRD," which garnered significant attention on streaming platforms.
