Born in Hidalgo in 1968, Jaime Flores is a renowned Mexican singer and songwriter of romantic pop and ballads. Starting in the mid-'80s, Flores built an impressive reputation as a composer for artists such as Edith Márquez, Nadia, Alejandro Fernández, Grupo Pesado, Ivonne Avilés, Rocío Durcal, Pandora, and Sentidos Opuestos. Even Beyoncé recorded one of his songs. Flores often wrote with Raúl Ornelas and Luis Carlos Monroy. Between 2003 and 2008, the three friends put together a trio called Tres de Copas and performed all over Mexico, and on one occasion at Las Vegas' Caesar Palace. Flores has also released a few solo albums, among these El Bar de los Suspiros (2010) and Desde Mi Corazón (2017).
