Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Playing the handlebars of my bike like a trumpet was my first early musical memory. I took an old snorkel and stuck it in like a mouthpiece and started bugling.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bernard Fanning, Brutal Dawn Rival Sons, Feral Roots Steep Ravine, Trampin' On I just love the vocals on all these albums! The songwriting is not to shabby either!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Man of the Mind” It’s my favorite in that I was able to address the incessant inner dialogue that plagues much of humanity. I was inspired to write this after reading Elkhart Tolle's, “The Power of Now”.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of my early bands, “The Sky” got to open up for Phish back in the 80’s. We were at a club called The Catalyst in Santa Cruz, CA. We were scheduled to play on “dollar night”, but had no idea who the headliner was going to be!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’m looking forward to collaborating more with my songwriting. I’m excited to see how things progress with my new music studio “Black Range Recording” where I’m beginning to record local and touring musicians.
