In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I heard Herbie Hancock playing with the Miles Davis Quintet. Every note, every chord he played was a total mystery to my teenager ears and yet it sounded so beautiful, inventive and graceful. Made me want to be a jazz piano player.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Geri Allen, The Nurturer Guillermo Klein, Rebecca Martin, The Upstate Project (feat. Larry Grenadier & Jeff Ballard) Mark Turner, Dharma Days Mark Turner is a hero of mine. I love the way Rebecca and Guillermo create music together, so intertwined Geri Allen is an unsung master of piano, so original, so creative.
