In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember hiding under my bed covers one night, very quietly singing one of Beyoncé's songs (Halo). My mom heard me, and then I was too shy to keep singing. I think I liked singing for a long time, but it took a while to become confident in it.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ariana Grande, My Everything Bonus Tracks Edition Josh Pyke, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Live at the Sydney Opera House Lianne La Havas, Lianne La Havas Ariana grande's album because her music was my magic growing up. The vocals, the heartfelt messages, the power. Lianne La Havas for her soothing R&B music that came to adulthood with me. Josh Pyke because his storytelling speaks to me.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Mine” "Mine" is a love song I wrote about my wife, and also about myself. The journey to accepting myself as on the queer spectrum was confusing but beautiful when I fell in love with my best friend, Sherell. I'm so thankful for all of it and for her.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In November of 2022, I was won first place for my song "Mine" in the SLO New Times Music Awards, and I also won third place for my song "Come Home." These songs are so meaningful to me and my life, and to be recognized for them is a dream.
