Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Playing pots and pans at my friend Rowan's house in Wood Green. Must have been 4 or 5.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Michael Jackson, Bad Radiohead, The Bends Roots Manuva, Brand New Second Hand Radiohead: Love the chords & melody directions, very different at the time & still. Roots Manuva: Appeared on the scene with a stand out flow & sound that sounded like no other. Michael Jackson: My first ever album bought for me by my older sister.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Light (feat. Sohwaina)” I heard this vocal originally with just a piano in the background. They were jammin/freestylin. I was like I need to do something with this so reached out and ended up doin just that. I had an idea in my head and it came out pretty much how I saw it.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing on stage with Roots Manuva in front of 1000+ people - and my forthcoming album.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Plenty! Feels like I'm just about to get started. I'd love to work with more talented artists & producers and travel with my music. Create music for film is another. There's too many to mention and it's best not talk too much, don't wanna jinx it ;)
