Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Playing the role of technical director in the high school band got me into the flow of who I am as an artist: detail-oriented, compassionate and divergent thinking.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ben Wendel, The Seasons Brasstracks, For Those Who Know (Deluxe) Lizzy McAlpine, five seconds flat For Those Who Know... a masterful incorporation of the elements of pop music. The Seasons... captures all the nuances that jazz usually contains in a relatable way. five seconds flat... represents all that we aspire to as songwriters.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Pretty Little Monster” Using a first person perspective of the crushed fantasies and bittersweet experiences of being in an intimate relationship, Pretty Little Monster is a song that speaks about the cycle of brokenness in love. Hurt people, hurt people.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing in the Safaricom International Jazz Festival in 2019 as part of a band called Ad Hoc. We shared the stage with multi-Grammy award winning artist Diane Reeves.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Building a musical expression that seeks to combine the use of intricate musical arrangements, technical mastery, coherent narratives and poetic sensibilities to capture the essence of all that constitutes Kenyan sub-cultures within a global context.
