Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a child, I’d spend hours in my grandmother’s room, captivated by the Brenda Fassie songs she played. Listening closely to the rhythms and emotions sparked my curiosity—and that’s where my passion for music quietly began.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kelvin Momo, Ivy League Kelvin Momo, Ntsako Kelvin Momo, Sewe My top 3 Apple Music albums are SEWE, Ntsako, and Ivy League by Kelvin Momo. His sound is raw and soulful—each beat feels intentional, honest, and deeply emotional. His music connects with me on a personal level and keeps me coming back.

Ratex)” One of my songs on Apple Music, *Mdali*, is special to me because it’s a tribute to my grandmother. She’s been my anchor and biggest inspiration. The song is my way of thanking her and expressing my love and gratitude for all she’s done for me.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of my most memorable moments was when my community started showing me love and recognition. The shift—from being seen as just another person to being seen as an artist—was surreal. That support changed everything for me.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Absolutely. I want to grow my team, launch my own record label, and take SMAKI 08 to the next level. It’s about building a platform to uplift new talent and create real opportunities. That vision is still on my bucket list—and I’m working on it.
