The Italian-born, Zürich-based Maurizio Colella first made his name in the late '00s remixing deadmau5, Armin van Buuren, and Kaskade. Soon the artist known as EDX was developing his own melodic brand of progressive house on Toolroom, Armada, and his own PinkStar label. Since EDX's 2012 debut album, On the Edge, he's gone on to explore tropical house and '90s-inspired throwback sounds, but his "feel-good chord progressions," as he calls them, are always front and center.
