Brassy-voiced New York-bred songstress Taylor Dayne cut her teeth singing in a string of rock bands during the early '80s. After releasing a few singles through indie label Mega Bolt, she got her big break in 1986 when she was signed to major label Arista Records. Dayne proceeded to dominate the charts with a mix of dance-oriented adult contempo and heartfelt ballads. Though she took a break from music during the early '00s to pursue an acting career, Dayne released a new album in 2008—Satisfied—that earned rave reviews.
