January's depressing

So I'm alone here nesting

Trying to make room for my sensitivity

I'm laying in my room with my insecurities

All day

January's messing

So let me do my resting

Laying awake with possibilities

I might be sick

So there's no point in stressing

And pressing and stretching and wrecking

No wrecking, no pressing, reckoning

January's arresting

So here I am erecting

A tune not to feel so alone

To hear a sound

That doesn't come out of my phone

January's depressin'

And I will learn my lesson

No pressin' and stressin' and wreckin'

No wreckin' no pressin' reckonin'

February too

We sit here in the blue

And sip our grapefruit juice
