gloriosa et intacta puella.
Tu pupilla castitatis,
tu materia sanctitatis,

Hail, noble-born,

You, the pupil of chastity,
you, the substance of holiness,
who has pleased God.
For this heavenly rainshower
was in you, so that the divine Word
took on flesh within you.
You are the shining white lily
that God beheld
before all creation.
O most beautiful and sweetest one,
how deeply God delighted in you,
when He placed the embrace
of His warmth within you,
so that His Son
was nourished at your breast.
For your belly harbours joy since all
the celestial harmonies resound about you, because
you, a virgin, bore the Son of God,
where your chastity shone radiantly in God.
Your very being exulted,
like grass upon which dew falls,
infusing it with greennesss -
so it was within you,
O mother of all joy.
Now let the whole Church shine with joy,
and let it resound in harmony
for the sweetest Virgin
and praiseworthy Mary,
the Mother of God. Amen.
