One of the “Four Heavenly Kings” of Cantopop, Jacky Cheung beat 10,000 contenders in the Amateur 18-Hong Kong District Singing Contest in 1984. By the ‘90s, the “God of Songs” was a household name. Although best known for ballads, his extensive catalogue includes turns at rock, classical and even rap.
