Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. In middle school, our music teacher taught us Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana on an omnichord. I then listened to the album on cassette with my cousin in my grandparents' old camper. Not long after this experience, I learned to play the guitar.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bruce Cockburn, The Charity of Night International Version Radiohead, In Rainbows Sufjan Stevens, Illinois In Rainbows is a mature synthesis of Radiohead's musical evolution, which still inspires me. Illinois and Charity of Night are both incredible musical and poetic visions that incorporate thoughtful faith and political introspection.

The Pickaxe Collective)” This is the first track on the recently released album, Hymns of New Wine. It is inspired by a spiritual experience I had as young man. I use the poetics of The Brother's Karamazov by Dostoevsky to express this: the seed that dies to bring new life.
