In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Sitting at the piano in my grandmother’s apartment as a child, playing and feeling completely absorbed in the sound. I remember the excitement of discovering that I could express emotions through music, even without knowing much about technique.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Billie Eilish, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT
Hozier, Wasteland, Baby!
Tom Odell, Black Friday
They have a similar vibe to my own songs. They are deeply emotional, melancholic, and full of vulnerability, which is exactly what I look for when listening to music. Also their lyrics are deep and meaningful.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Before the Storm”
It’s about a love that feels real and beautiful, but can never be fully lived — the quiet moment of closeness before everything falls apart (the moment before the storm), and the pain of being someone’s secret instead of their choice.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Having my very first concert made up entirely of my own original songs. It was a special experience to perform with a full band and backing vocalists.
