Falling somewhere between Billie Eilish and the Weeknd, Boon specializes in dark nocturnal pop. His thick, heavy electronic manipulations color his pop songs, a combination showcased on his 2020 debut EP, 16, which was named after his age at the time of release.
Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Boon is the son of Ed Eason, a guitarist for Carrie Underwood. As a teenager, he started making music professionally, contributing songs for I Love You, Or Whatever, a 2018 EP by Cimorelli. Boon first gained notice for "Feelings on the Floor," a 2020 collaboration between himself and the Atlanta-based rapper Freeco. "Feelings on the Floor" brought Boon to the attention of CloudKid, who signed the singer/songwriter and released his debut EP 16 in March 2020.
