Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest memories is sitting in the living room floor with my Mama's old 45's and picking out my favorites to play on the turntable. Some of my favorites as a child, from her collection, were Charley Pride, CCR & Elvis.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alice Gerrard, Hazel Dickens, Hazel & Alice Elvis Presley, How Great Thou Art Nanci Griffith, Late Night Grande Hotel Elvis Presley singing gospel will always stir me to the core. I love Hazel & Alice because they were on the forefront of bluegrass for women. I fell in love with the art of lyrics through Nanci Griffith's "Late Night Grande Hotel" during college.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Lights Aglow On the Bayou” This song moves me to tears every time I sing it. It is the story of my childhood at Christmas-time and also my reminiscing as an adult.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The most memorable moment so far is the recording and releasing of my first full album, "I'm Not Lost." There is nothing better than seeing - and hearing - your heart and soul come to fruition.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Absolutely! I believe reaching milestones as a songwriter and artist feeds my passion to continue creating. Mine is a never-ending bucket list that keeps me dreaming and reaching.
