Florida-based post-hardcore band Capstan mix the fury and punch of metal with the dynamics, musical complexity, and turn-on-a-dime precision of progressive rock. Lead singer Anthony DeMario has no qualms about baring his soul in his lyrics, which deliver an emotional impact that suits the intelligent assault of his bandmates' instrumental attack. Their 2016 EP Cultural Divide introduced many fans to Capstan through the popularity of the song "Wax Poetic," 2019's more polished Restless Heart, Keep Running was their debut release for Fearless Records, and 2021's Separate was a cohesive and well-crafted album written during an enforced break from touring.
