From Australia's thriving punk scene comes Civic, a snarling Melbourne combo with heaps of energy and an unfussy pub rock backbone. With plenty of downstroked guitar, no-frills melodies, and a hard-charging rhythm section, Civic delivers primal rock in a classic proto-punk style and has gained an international following. The group built their name on a well-received trio of EPs in the late 2010s before delivering Future Forecast, their full-length debut, in 2021. For their next album, 2023's Taken by Force, they recruited Rob Younger (vocalist with influential Aussie rockers Radio Birdman) to produce. Younger was back for 2025's Chrome Dipped, their most ambitious work to date.
