Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest and most defining musical moments came in 2016 when I launched the RICH MIND$ Collective, creating a platform for independent voices to thrive. I've also had the honor of opening for Black Star at the Fox Theater in Pomona, CA.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dan-Ganja, Sanity Menon, Same Difference MF DOOM, MM..FOOD Wu-Tang Clan, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) [Expanded Edition] MM..FOOD taught me how layered hip-hop could be—DOOM's wordplay was like a puzzle. 36 Chambers gave me raw, cinematic rap. Same Difference with Shankar Menon reflects creative trust and the roots of the RICH MIND$ Collective.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Losin’ Focus” “Losin’ Focus” came from a place of feeling overwhelmed but still pushing through—a reflection of the mental chaos Shankar was navigating. It’s personal, but it resonated with a lot of people going through the same thing.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Definitely getting the Same Difference EP placed on Apple Music’s New in Hip-Hop playlist the day it dropped in 2021. That early recognition helped amplify our reach and validated all the hard work behind the project.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’m focused on pushing creative boundaries and growing the RICH MIND$ Collective to support emerging artists. Collaborating with my biggest inspirations and landing major sync placements are goals I’m excited to chase. The journey is just beginning.
