A widely popular and successful Bavarian born German cabaret artist, musician, comedian, and songwriter, Willy Astor was born in Munich in 1961. His first foray into the world of performance came at the young age of 14, in the group Akkordeonspiel. His career began to blossom in the '90s, and he made his first television appearance in 1993. Over the 20-year course of his career, Astor has put on nearly 20 cabaret shows, and in 1998 was chosen to collaborate on a song, "FC Bayern: Stern des Sudens," which became the official anthem of the very successful and very popular Bavarian soccer club Bayern Munich. ~ Chris True
