Formed in 1999, UK power metal band DragonForce has been named the āfastest band in the world,ā thanks to their rapid-fire twin guitar attack and breakneck drumming.
ā After the success of their sophomore album, 2004ās Sonic Firestorm, they were invited to open shows for legendary heavy metal acts Iron Maiden and W.A.S.P.
ā Their signature song, 2006ās āThrough the Fire and Flames,ā was certified Platinum due, in part, to its massive popularity in the Guitar Hero video game franchise.
ā āHeroes of Our Timeā earned the band a Best Metal Performance nomination at the 2009 Grammy Awards.
ā For their 2015 live album/video release, In the Line of Fire... Larger Than Live, they used ten separate cameras to capture their impressively synchronized multi-instrumental virtuosity.
ā The band cheekily closed their 2019 album, Extreme Power Metal, with a thundering speed-metal cover of Celine Dionās āMy Heart Will Go On.ā
