In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember discovering Bonobo on Myspace and for the first time hearing downtempo/trip hop with a load of jazz samples. No words? No problem, the music was more than enough and made me fall in love with this genre.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bonobo, Animal Magic DJ Shadow, Endtroducing (Deluxe Edition) Four Tet, Pause These are the albums that have inspired me and my music. I have listened to a lot of stuff in this genre, and these albums stick out the most. nostalgia of a time that has passed, yet the same world when I hear these albums.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “End of the Earth” This is the first track that I ever made in this medium. I did not know how to use a daw and it was a hack job. years later I re-made the song. Re recorded everything verbatim, made it on time and fixed the EQ/master.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I am a drummer by trade. In high school we visited a posh town for a bday party. They had their local band there. they sucked. Me and my bandmates took over at some point. the crowd went from talking to jumping. seeing that reaction was amazing.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I am a one man show with little knowledge of music theory that writes music in his basement studio. If I was given the opportunity to play my music somewhere I would bring my friends and do the whole thing live. no DJ set. I want that.
