b. New Jersey, USA. Wikman was formerly a rock fanatic until his friend’s dance mix tapes caught his attention. He was a quick and enthusiastic convert, particularly to the compilations of Mathias Hoffman (Mosaic and Harthouse Records). Wikman soon got involved in the creative process too, remixing techno cuts in the early 90s for San Francisco’s Megatone label with DJ Mark Lewis. On his own terms he cut ‘Body Baby’ on Champion Records, under the mantle Global Groove. The follow-up was ‘Cry Of Freedom’, before he began remix work for D:Ream and Michael Watford.
