For more than 15 years, hard-partying Oklahoma City outfit Hinder has topped the charts while carrying the torch for old-fashioned rock ānā roll.
ā The group first took shape in 2001, after drummer Cody Hanson and guitarist Joe Garvey spotted vocalist Austin Winkler singing covers at a college party and asked him to join their band.
ā Hinderās 2005 debut album, Extreme Behavior, went triple Platinum after reaching No. 6 on the Billboard 200.
ā āLips of an Angel,ā the second single from Extreme Behavior, was an international smashāit hit No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and went to No. 1 in both Australia and New Zealand.
ā In 2007, Hinder was inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame.
ā Their Gold-certified sophomore album, 2008ās Take It to the Limit, featured a guest turn from Mƶtley CrĆ¼e guitarist Mick Mars.
ā Following the departure of Winkler in 2013āand shows with fill-in vocalists such as Jared Weeks of Saving AbelāHinderās longtime producer Marshal Dutton took over as the bandās lead singer.
