Isha is among Belgium's most notable hip-hop artists, a distinctively stern, introspective, and lyrical rapper who has distinguished himself from major inspirations such as the Notorious B.I.G. and Booba. Active since the 2000s, he first performed and recorded under the name Psmaker, and in the 2010s switched to Isha -- his first name -- making waves with the three-volume La vie augmente series (2017-2020). He followed the trilogy with Faites pas chier, j'prépare un album ("Don't f*****g bother me, I'm working on an album"), and in 2022 fulfilled his promise with the release of his first proper studio LP, Labrador bleu. Isha has since partnered with Limsa d'Aulnay for Bitume caviar, Vol. 1 and Bitume caviar, Vol. 2 (2024-2025). The solo effort Drôle d'oiseau was issued between those two joint efforts.
