In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The first time I ever performed live was in a school assembly where I sang "I Believe" by Yolanda Adams, from the Honey movie soundtrack. That was the first of many times I ever sang in public, and I loved being able to come out of my comfort zone!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brandy, Full Moon Justin Timberlake, FutureSex/LoveSounds (Deluxe Edition) Kierra Sheard, GRACELAND (Deluxe Edition) I grew up singing in Church, so Kierra Sheard's album hit different! It was so honest and raw; Brandy's vocal ability was masterclass in 'Full Moon'; and I love regularly re-visit JT's album and take lessons from his creative flair!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “TALK 2 U” I first met JohnnieWavesz in 2022 and we quickly gained a mutual respect for each other. This was the first song we ever worked on and it opened the door for so much more. I'm so grateful to have worked with him and I will never forget this song.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I met fans after a show I performed at outside my hometown, and they recognised me, and they specifically knew deep-cuts. I'm still getting used to the idea of strangers encountering my music so that being my first moment of meeting fans was amazing!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? One day, I'll receive a Grammy award for something from my discography. Until then, I will keep creating the best music I can!
